Lottie-Lou's View
Join me as I view the world through my camera lens and explore life as it comes along. Whether it be a photograph from a night out or a well thought out image, every photo tells a story and I want to share those stories with you :)

Happy Halloween!
So it's halloween today so I thought i'd do a seasonal post :) I don't generally go in for halloween but this year I decided to be a bit creative and carve my own girly pumpkin! I've named her Ezmarelda! I photographed her in the dark last night, using long exposures to capture her glow. I am really pleased with the way they came out so here they are :)

Cardiff Castle
This weekend I've been in Cardiff visiting my boyfriend who is studying there. It was so lovely to see him. There were lots of photo opportunities especially when we went to Cardiff Castle which is a really lovely place. The keep itself is very calm and quiet, it has a real sense of history. And the adjacent Victorian building is luxurious and grand. It also has some very bizarre gargoyles and decoration on the walls! Here are a few photos from the day :)

Sculpture at The Eden Project
Yesterday I went to the Eden Project with my dad. We went quite late in the afternoon so it was lovely and quiet, we were in the Rainforest Biome practically on our own which was amazing! Anyway here are a few photographs that I took of the brilliant sculpture in the Mediterranean Biome. I photograph them every time i'm there, I love them!

42 Keys
My latest college project is to make a book as I think I have already mentioned in a previous blog. I had chosen to photograph the roundhouse and team but unfortunately because we've finished for the winter I am unable to get back to site and with no-one to photograph it seemed a bit silly! So I've moved on to another idea. At home we have a bag of keys, 42 in fact, all of which were found in a drawer at my Grandpa's house whilst he was suffering from dementia. They are a confusing jumble of old and new, some are duplicates, some are single keys, some are padlock keys and some are door keys. I find them very interesting as a collection and strangely beautiful. They remind me of that stage of Grandpa's illness and his confused state but also a museum collection that I want to archive. Here are a few of my images, these are not finals as I am going to reshoot but you get the idea :)

My Bedroom
Here are a few photographs of bits and pieces in my bedroom. I wanted to create something quite arty and beautiful experimenting with manual focus and depth of field. This is what I came up with... and I really like them! :)
Boats at Malpas
A couple of weeks ago I went to Malpas just outside Truro to photograph the boats for my uni summer project. I went thinking I would take some literal photographs, but instead I became obsessed with the abstract shapes that I could create from close ups. I liked the shape that the hulls made in the water and the shallow depth of field that I could create with the close up shots. Here are a few of my favourites :)
Newquay
Today we went on a uni trip to Newquay to photograph people, the sea, and other things. The naff weather made everything quite dull and grey so after a little bit of editing here are some of my images from today :)
